I Couldn't Say No to Our Babysitter

Curator’s note

Told in the voice of a husband who knows he should have stayed in the car. Mila, the family's babysitter, is stranded when her date cancels, and he offers to drive her home. Episode 1 is a courteous detour with a running commentary on his own good intentions, then an invitation upstairs that comes with an excuse and a deadline of two minutes. Episode 2 takes him through her door, where she changes for the evening that never happened, while his phone buzzes with a call from home. Mila is a recurring Candy character. Two parts are free.

Inside the frame

A late drive, an apartment doorway and a conscience that keeps ringing. The forbidden line is marriage itself, and the free part keeps to hesitation, glances, a change of outfit and unanswered calls.

Best seen: Late-evening viewing for a guilty-pleasure mood and a narrator who is losing the argument with himself.
