The Maid My Wife Hired

Curator’s note

His wife has hired a maid, headed to work and told him to be nice. The new arrival is very good at her job, or at least at asking whether she is doing it well. Episode 1 is the first morning: the introduction, a check-in call from the wife and a very quick answer that everything is fine. In episode 2 she dusts, he spills coffee, and she tells him every room gleams, and that he alone is the mess left behind, delivered as a cheerful observation.

Inside the frame

A spotless house, a long working day and a husband who promised to behave. Wedding vows get tested, and the employee quietly sets the pace. Episode one needs nothing but a click; a free sign-up gets you the next, and the mop stays harmless.

Best seen: Perfect for a lazy afternoon of polite service, double meanings and a duster used mainly as punctuation.
