Curator’s note

The wedding is Saturday, his father is the groom, and he has been named best man. The bride is Margot, who suggests that he may call her Mom if he likes, and who has a list of errands that only he can run. The opener begins at a zipper, shelters behind a superstition about bad luck, and ends with her saying what she wants. Episode 2 introduces Dahlia, the maid of honor, who cites tradition as grounds for claiming him, and a garter, and a present. Dad is one room away throughout. Both opening parts are free.

Inside the frame

A wedding week with every guest in the house, two women who take the rules of tradition very personally and a groom just down the hall. The line is family, the risk is constant, and the free part stays suggestive.

Best seen: Choose it for the mood of a rehearsal dinner that goes wrong in the most flattering way.
