Curator’s note

A company trip, an assigned Compartment twelve and a train that does not stop for second thoughts. Our hero discovers he is bunking with his boss and the boss's wife, a woman he has admired in secret for ages. The boss grumbles, the wife intervenes, and a draft in the compartment becomes her excuse to ask for a warm-up. Episode 1 is pure tension: a job on the line and a fellow passenger who insists he is her favorite. Episode 2 keeps the wheels turning. A bad dream wakes the husband, a coffee errand clears the room and a station stop gives them a few minutes, with an order to call her ma'am.

Inside the frame

A closed compartment, a dozing authority figure and a wife who sets the pace. Every station stop is a deadline. The free episodes stay in whispers and glances, the rest is for later.
