My Best Friends Mom

Curator’s note

Jake agrees to watch Tyler's house for a weekend, and Tyler's mother Vanessa turns up with other ideas. It is hot, she cannot reach her back and the pool is open. Episode 1 ends with a phone call from Tyler, a gate left open and a second woman, Dana, who spots the secret in about two seconds. Episode 2 turns the secret into a trade: Dana stays quiet in exchange for her own turn, while Vanessa objects to sharing. Watch two episodes free, then pay in tokens to see how the weekend ends.

Inside the frame

A sunlit house with a friend's mother, a nosy neighbor and a boy running out of excuses. Possession, rivalry and a ticking text message from Tyler drive the free part, which closes before the pool does.

Best seen: For nights when you want a rivalry between two worldly women, with a hapless houseguest in the middle.
