TRAINER HARLOW: PRIVATE HOUR

Curator’s note

Day five at camp, and Trainer Harlow expects eyes on her whenever she speaks. She singles out one recruit and calls him Private, mostly to watch him shake. He is ordered to the yard at six, and he arrives early. Episode 1 is her speech, the pushups and the invitation. Episode 2 is the private session itself, with a second recruit, who likes him, watching from the shadows and reconsidering her options. Harlow notices everything, including who is staring. The curator describes the work as a portrait of discipline, where the only thing getting drilled is restraint. Orders are given and, with a little persuasion, followed enthusiastically.
