Curator’s note

Colette pours coffee for a living and turns up at her boyfriend's house like she owns the place. His son, the narrator, has opinions about that, none of them useful. Episode 1 is a small kitchen exchange about milk and machines, less a scene than a first move. In episode 2, Colette shakes off a customer who tipped for flirting, spots the son outside, and offers him a lift with a grin, mentioning that Dad will be gone for hours. The ride, as they say, starts right there, and so does the trouble.
