House Rules

Curator’s note

His father is traveling for work, the house is quiet and Veronica has a plan. Episode 1 begins with a welcome, a warm hot tub and the first of her house rules, which is that he follows every instruction. The second rule bans a phone call to his girlfriend, who is planning a surprise visit. He protests, she smiles, and a shower is scheduled soon. Episode 2 raises the stakes with a late arrival, a morning robe and a rule forbidding him to pretend he did not hear her. Then the girlfriend rings the bell. Veronica is a recurring Candy character, and you may meet her elsewhere. Five episodes, the first two free.

Inside the frame

A big house, an absent father and a list of rules that grows every hour. The taboo is a stepmother, the power play is written down, and the free episodes keep the line on teasing and doorbells.

Best seen: A great pick for a night when a rulebook is more tempting than a plot, and the house wins every argument.
