My Girlfriend's Mom

Curator’s note

Three weeks ago he met a woman, and now he is introduced to his girlfriend's family. You can guess who opens the door. Episode 1 delivers the recognition over a glass of wine, followed by an ultimatum: stay with her daughter, keep the mother pleased, or the truth comes out. Episode 2 brings her husband home, with the whole family under one roof, and a quiet instruction to meet her that night. The series sets blackmail against charm, and the charm is winning. Five episodes in total, two of them free.

Inside the frame

A family dinner, a secret that only two people know and a boyfriend who cannot refuse. The taboo is mother and daughter, the leverage is total, and the free part stays with glances and hallway negotiations.

Best seen: Ideal for daylight drama lovers who enjoy being cornered by a very well-dressed host.
