British Summer with my Stepbro

Curator’s note

Mona and her stepbro join a family in Kent for a summer exchange, and the household is far more polite than either of them. Episode 1 starts with an accident in the car, a lecture about behaving and the arrival of Charlotte, whose entrance leaves a lasting impression. Episode 2 sends Mona exploring a bedroom that belongs to a son of the house, with discoveries and a tea time that approaches fast. Her crush on her stepbrother runs hot and cold, which suits a country known for its weather. Mona also drifts through other Candy series. The first two parts are free.

Inside the frame

An old-money English house with a strict timetable, two hosts and a stepsister who treats etiquette as a challenge. The family line is crossed twice over, and the free part stays on teasing and exits.

Best seen: A match for anyone who likes a country-house comedy where the scones are just an excuse.
