Curator’s note

Nate and Ben split a flat, and Ben is a sweet man whose girlfriend Sadie stays the night each Saturday. Sadie calls Nate insufferable, brash and forever wrapped in a towel, and he happily agrees, then explains what she really wants. Episode 1 trades barbs in the kitchen, across a bedroom door and over a very pointed hint about who bores whom. Ben invites her to stay all weekend, and Nate says that suits him. Episode 2 arrives at two in the morning, a trip for a drink becomes an excuse, and the dare gets repeated while Ben sleeps down the hall.

Inside the frame

A shared apartment with a sleeping boyfriend, a kitchen counter and a dare that gets louder in whispers. Rivalry as foreplay, the forbidden line is a hallway length away. The free episodes stay with banter and near misses.

Best seen: Choose it for a night when the arguments are more fun than the peace treaty.

Plate IEpisode 1

Plate I. A flat share with thin walls, a roommate named Ben who is sweet, and his girlfriend who has opinions about it. Over a morning coffee, Nate and Sadie bicker with the unmistakable chemistry of two people who are not really bickering. Ben calls from the bedroom. Sadie answers him sweetly, then leaves Nate with an open offer for next time.

Plate IIEpisode 2

Plate II. The kitchen at two in the morning, lit only by the fridge. Sadie is there in a very short outfit, pretending to fetch water, and Nate is pretending to believe her. The boyfriend sleeps just down the hall. A dare is made, repeated and then answered, with the plate cutting off on his reply.
