Sofia waves her boyfriend Jake off to a conference, pancakes and promises of dessert included. He adds that a friend is stopping by with a new graphics card. The friend turns up, gets a warm welcome and is told where the office is. Episode 2 finds him installing hardware while Sofia announces she is about to work out, and invites him, politely, to settle in and treat the place as his own. A quiet afternoon starts to look like a scheme. The curator finds the staging delicate: one house, two people, one very absent host. Revenge, we are told, but we prefer to call it a long overdue software update.
