Newlywed Not Satisfied

Curator’s note

Piper arrives at a luxurious villa for her honeymoon, and her new husband James is already in a meeting. Mrs. Hollis, as the staff call her, has been promised a romantic week and gets a series of phone calls. The only person who gives her any attention is the man who carries her bags. Episode 1 is a lesson in boredom turned into resolve, with a spoken confession about why she married and a request for help with sunscreen. Episode 2 moves from shy to bold, with an accidental compliment, a worried employee and a wife who insists on being called by her first name. Work can wait, she says.

Inside the frame

A villa by the water, a husband glued to a screen and a staff member with excellent timing. The forbidden line is a marriage, the power play is the bride's, and the free episodes stay with sunlight and compliments.

Best seen: For the afternoon you want a sunlit scandal, a long lounge chair and a bride who is done waiting.
