One Bed With My Roommate

Curator’s note

Ren has been quietly sweet on his roommate for ages, and breakfast in episode 1 proves how tricky it is to say so. Then Mira arrives with a suitcase, a breakup and the energy of a thunderstorm. By episode 2 Ren is out of work, the three of them do the math, and splitting rent turns out to be cheaper than saying goodbye. Mira notices the crush within minutes and proposes a wager: the one he chooses wins, and he must never learn it was a contest. His crush objects on principle and then, perhaps, on instinct. Five episodes, the first two free. The apartment has one fridge and two competitors.

Inside the frame

A shared apartment where rent, toast and a Saturday movie night carry the plot. The rules are a bet and a secret; the free episodes keep the competition playful, without leaving the kitchen.

Best seen: Good for a cozy night with a rom-com setup, two scheming roommates and a landlord who is clueless.
