The Witch Who Made Me King

Curator’s note

Ser Garrick is a knight with no name worth crowning and seven days to change that. Seven lords have to bend the knee, two already have, and five would rather spit. Then a witch emerges from the Blackwood, knows his name and offers him a shortcut: spend a night with her for every lord she delivers. Episode 1 is the offer and a promise to meet at moonrise. Episode 2 is the bargain made flesh, with a price fixed at five nights, and a queen regent whose riders are already combing the forest. The curator calls this a study in ambition, lit by moonlight and bad ideas, with a throne in the background.

Inside the frame

A medieval land of rival lords, a missing crown and a witch who deals in favors. The power play is a wager with a calendar. The free episodes stay at bargains, moonrise and a very narrow forest path.

Best seen: Suited to the night when you would like your politics with a little sorcery on the side.
